First Cruise on a Carnival Cruise ship

Sail Date: March 01, 2010

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Upon boarding it appear that we were in the way. The person checking you in told us to move out of the way very rudely .As people were trying to get off. No hi welcome aboard here. No welcome cocktail. It felt like we spent money to be insulted.

Pros: Cabin and front desk

Cons: most of the staff was too busy unless they sold you something

Recommends Carnival Triumph? No.

Ship Quality
You could tell it was a 10 year old ship. It appeared to be in ok shape not great shape.
Food and Dining
Maybe a step above McDonalds
Service and Staff
The front desk and the steward were very helpfull and pleasant to talk to and ask questions. The wait staff and others were not pleasant or easy to deal with.
Cabin / Stateroom
The room was very nice but a few of the items did not work and the steward was unable to get them fixed during the cruise.
The shows we attended were nice.
