Cruising the Eastern Caribbean in Style

Sail Date: March 29, 2009

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Balcony

The ship was fantastic. Not soo big that we couldn't find our way around. Big enough that we felt like we could discover new places, even after a week of sailing.

Pros: Pampering; destination

Cons: Being squashed at diner tables; parking at Port of Miami

Recommends Carnival Triumph? Yes!

San Juan, Puerto Rico
We were only in San Juan for an evening. It was day light when we disembarked. We were able to grab a bus and tour around the city. By the time we were done sight seeing, we had plenty of time to shop and dine before getting back on the ship.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
The crystal clear blue water was spell binding. We took the power rafting trip around the island. We were treated to a stop on a beach for swimming and snorkeling on a small reef. The captian and his mate were friendly and told us a lot about the local area.
Don't Miss: Water activity of some kind. The power raft was worth the time and cost.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
We went to Paradise Point and spent the whole afternoon taking in the sights, shopping and dining on the patio.
Don't Miss: Paradise Point was fantastic!
