Review SummaryWe read several negative reviews before taking this cruise so we didn't have high expectations of anything really. We loved absolutely everything. The dining room food was delicious, there were plenty of things to choose from, and the wait staff was incredible. We did not eat anything anywhere on the ship (or the private island) that was not above our expectations. The ship was not in perfect condition but it was not shabby or run down at all. We had a small interior room for the four of us (including a 7 and 11-year old) and were quite comfortable. EVERYTHING was awesome. This was our 4th cruise and 3rd Carnival ship and the Camp Carnival for the kids was the best ever. The staff was wonderful and our kids had a great time. The port of calls were beautiful. Their private island Half Moon Cay was gorgeous and there was lots to do on the island. The kids loved the water slides on the beach and we were able to hang out on the beach and snorkel. I was really surprised that the ship provided lunch on the island. At Grand Turk we booked the Ultimate Snorkeling package. This was the best snorkeling trip we've ever been on. We went to two reefs and saw a "tame" 5-ft baracuda, huge grouper, stingrays, and a myriad of tropical fish. The guys leading the tour really knew what they were doing and gave you freedom to explore the reefs on your own while they watched out for you. The creatures I mentioned above actually live there at the reefs so they're familiar with people and are not aggressive. It was like swimming in your own aquarium. In San Juan we just walked off the ship around the downtown area and to the San Cristobal Fort. You don't need a taxi if you don't mind a 10-minute walk. It only cost $6 for the four of us to walk through the HUGH fort. You can take some great pictures from there also.
Pros: The food and staff
Cons: Not enough ship activities from 6-8pm
