We just returned from the June 20-22, two- night cruise "to nowhere" on the Triumph, where we had a great time. This was our second Carnival cruise and our sixth overall, but our first without a destination. The staff and fellow passengers were all very friendly. The food was a pleasant surprise and the desserts were heavenly. However, even on a cruise to nowhere, Carnival should adhere to dress codes. If you're gonna have a semi-formal night and say no jeans, shorts or tanks in the dining room, then turn away people dressed sloppily, as there are other dining options for them. There we sat in our cocktail dresses and suits while the couple at the table next to us arrived in jeans and tank tops revealing tatoo covered bodies, not a pretty sight! That aside, the shows were great, the bars were great (the drinks were flowing), the casino was not kind to us but that's always a gamble! Although there seemed to be many children aboard, for us it was a nice getaway without ours. I would definitely recommend both Carnival and a cruise to nowhere to anyone who asks!
