Carnival Triumph

Sail Date: August 01, 2008

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Older ship, but our room on the 10th level was nice and clean. Very crowded (over 2800 other passengers). We missed two of our 4 ports due to hurricanes and there was no alternate plan for us execpt to spend days and days at sea. No refund was given for the missed ports except for the $20 per person tax we paid upfront. We will never travel on Carnival again. Horrible experiance for me and my wife.

Pros: Room Steward

Cons: Most of the Trip

Recommends Carnival Triumph? No.

Food and Dining
Except for our dining room experience, the rest of the food really was horrible. Lines were long and the food was not worth the wait.
Ship Quality
The layout and and cleanliness were pretty good.
Service and Staff
Most staff were nice but the information desk staff seemed to not enjoy their jobs very much.
Lots of shows and entertainment for the long, long days at sea.
Cabin / Stateroom
Our room had a balcony and was on the 10th (top) floor so we had excellent views. Our room steward took an interst in us and did a great job in our room. He also let us in our room about an hour early so my pregnant wife could lay down. Romie Rocks!
