This was my first cruise and I wasnt that impressed. The ship itself didnt seem that extravagant. Maybe I had high expectations. My boyfriend cruised before but on Royal Carribean so he also seemed disappointed because this ship seemed less extravagant to him as well. CONS: The food wasnt tasteful and one time at dinner, my boyfriend ended up with a half raw chicken leg. The TV in our room was dark and we had to ask the purser to brighten it (the TV or remote didnt let you do this). Our balcony light didnt work and they fixed it but it only worked for one day. There were dents in the ceiling of our room but the room seemed clean. All the windows on the ship were dirty (especially noticeable on the wall to ceiling windows in certain areas of the ship). The night before you leave you are assigned a zone number. They call it the next day and you are led to the show lounge. We didnt know that we would be doing this or sit there for an hour before we were led out to another room to check out(leave the ship). They should be more informative. PROS: The service on the ship was EXCELLENT. We loved the show. Some of the ports of call were very nice: Bahamas, St. Thomas. Our balcony room was a good size. There was always a place to sit to eat for breakfast and lunch given the number of passengers on board. We never felt crowded anywhere on the ship. I may cruise Carnival again.just not on the Triumph.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was bland or not fully cooked in one case! We always had to wait for a slice of pizza in the 24-hour pizza shop. The buffet was not a WOW nor was the dessert buffet. The service was very good though and the Maitre'D was flexible of our dining requests.

Entertainment

There was a variety of things to do but we then got bored after 5 out of a 7 day cruise!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff always said hello, good morning and was always helpful.

They provided additional shampoo and conditioner on request which was nice.

The ports of call were beautiful. The only thing we didn't like was the shopping experience. The locals won't leave you alone! They come up to you left and right wanting you to buy something or come into their store!

Pros: Shows, Ports of Call, Service, Activities

Cons: Food, Organization upon leaving ship, ship itself
