Terrible Disappointmnet

Sail Date: May 19, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Balcony

Getting onto and off the ship, especially where customs is involved, is a terribly long process with no place to sit. Recommend having benches. Older people literally suffer standing so long.

Pros: Evening shows

Cons: The food and long lines

Recommends Carnival Triumph? No.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Wasted much time getting to the beach. Had to pay a whole day for a lounge chair though we could only stay an hour. Semi-submersible trolled through dingy, uninspired reef area. Aquarium was small, but pretty good. Limited time to enjoy stop. "SKyride was a rip-off; views and ride did not justify $17/person.
Grand Turk Island
dune buggy excursion was a slow, pedestrian affair; the only highlight a surprisingly deep puddle that got all of us wet. Limited time to enjoy stop.
San Juan, Puerto Rico
Kids and the wife enjoyed the Bacardi Tour very much. Limited time to enjoy stop.
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)
It rained; cancelled my event. Limited time to enjoy stop.
