Our 13th cruise with Carnival and it rated out average. Don't bother with the long lines and quality/selection of food on the Lido deck. Go to the dining room for all meals the quality is much better without the sea of humanity evident on the lido deck. Ports were nice as we had been there before and knew what to avoid. As platinum guests a few perks were available however disembarkation was total chaos as never seen before on previous cruises with carnival. Very good dining room service and our room steward was good as well. Minature golf was recently added and was very nice when the drunks were not there.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Dining room food was good to very good. The lido deck food is for the masses and has slipped in quality from previous cruises.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Shows were about average. Lido deck activities were pretty much stong age. Hairy chest competition? Come on

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Overall the staff was average. Some people went out of their way to help others were not very helpful of friendly for that matter.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ship needs an overhaul. Lots of painting needed topside, carpeting needs to be replaced etc. Fairly clean overall. We much prefer the Spirit class vessels.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
We had an inside room on deck 7, typical carnival cabin size amenities etc. Was good except for the carpeting which badly needed to be replaced.

Pros: Price, ports

Cons: Lido deck food, high price drinks and excursions

Recommends Carnival Triumph? Yes!
