7 Night Eastern Caribbean (Miami Roundtrip)
Sail Date: August 12, 2006
Ship: Carnival Triumph
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Singles/Friends
Reviewed: 11 years ago
The crew for the most part was very nice although not as attentive as other cruises I have been on previously. Also, there are too many times when plates set outside the cabin door from a room service order stayed there the entire day. I have a real problem with walking past other peoples nasty leftover food. The food is so so and the dining times were weird...5:45 and 8. The bed is extremely comfortable.

luckily I had a waiter that was honest and all the choices he made were pretty good.

Entertainment

The ship dancers and singers far better than entertainment brought onboard. Magic show can go and get rid of the sword swallower--please

Service and Staff

nothing above and beyond on this ship..just enough to get by

Ship Quality

not the cleanest ship and poorly laid out; no shade and no adult area

Cabin / Stateroom

hairdryer in the bathroom. Does that make sense to anyone? How are you to dry your hair if someone else is taking a shower. Good shampoo and body soap Bathroom a little tired

good shopping and remember that this is the only port to buy extra liquor!

What a beautiful island! Expensive but worth a trip to the beach no matter what side you visit.
Don't Miss: BEACHES any and all

Puerto Rico at night...does this make sense to anyone? Many people disappointed. I chose to watch a movie in my room
Don't Miss: I heard senor frogs is fun if you don't mind being smacked around

Pros: The nightclub on the ship was one of the biggest I have seen and the DJ was pretty good

Cons: This ship is very hard to navigate and people were constantly lost. There is also no shady place to sit and read a book. Some passengers even took to sitting outside the engine room simply to get some shade...not sure if they went deaf from the noise. Too many kids, no adult space
