Hardly any of the staff speak English and the little they speak is hard to understand. Research before you go. Review the ships deck plans and figure out where everything is before you go.

Get your top shelf LIQUOR early, and the Havana bar is so very elegant

Do not go during Christmas. Too many children - which were a nuisance. Riding elevators. Harassing the bar staff! Roaming the halls at night and making too much noise. I will not use Carnival again as I believe there ships are designed to accompany families with children.

Just enjoy yourself. People are going to give negative opinions about it. This was my first cruise and my first ship and I enjoyed it. I saw a lot of negative reviews, and people talking about how they do not enjoy cruises or us that ship or cruise line. However, we/ I did enjoy it in every way possible it was a good get away with my family.

bring your own straws, they are very stingy with their nasty edible ones. Had a bartender fight with me because I asked for one and didnt order a drink. the bartender gave my wife a drink without one so I asked for one for her. Always had an argument

Embarkation in Charleston was unlike anything I have ever done before. It’s two separate buildings, be prepared to be on a shuttle bus lol. Definitely need to be early for shows (comedy club, main show lounge, etc) if you want a good seat. Try the thermal suite if you have the extra money, really cool!

Remember you have to go up a deck and then go down to get to the aft dining room. You can go straight thru deck 3 because of the galley.
