This was posted in response to someone complaining about not going to Bermuda. Yes we were disappointed by not going to Bermuda but we also applaud Carnival for making the decision. If you need to place blame then place it where it needs to go.....On Mother Nature.

We were on the same cruise and while being disappointed about not going to Bermuda we were happy to see the Captain and Carnival make what had to have been a very difficult decision to alter the itinerary at the very last moment. This had to have been a very costly (in both money and man hours to arrange) decision to make. The change as it turned out was a very fortuitous decision since at one point Hurricane Joaquin was reported with winds that were 2 mph short of it being a Cat 5 hurricane. I personally would not want to be anywhere near it. (The folks complaining have apparently never been through a "real" hurricane) This hurricane also sent a freighter to the bottom of the sea but maybe these folks missed that news story. This hurricane eye wall also came within 70 miles of Bermuda with sustained winds of 100 mph. Not really optimal weather for sightseeing. These would have been the same people whining about the rain and being seasick had we continued to Bermuda. I for one had a great cruise, enjoyed the ports of call and applaud the hospitality of the Carnival Team. I will make Bermuda one day, it just wasn't meant to be. Thank you Carnival for a GREAT call changing the itinerary and  providing a great vacation. The 25% discount on our next cruise was a very nice gesture also.

Cabin / Stateroom
Interior cabins are always small, had a couple plumbing issues during the 8 nights. A/C needs to be able to be set 3 - 5 degrees cooler so you can take advantage of the bed linens. It was too warm to get under covers. Our Steward, Kristina, Was fantastic!!!!
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Embarkation was smooth. Disembarkation while smooth is always a bummer.
Ship Quality
The HVAC system needs help the cabin was always warm and humid feeling. There were a couple plumbing issues also that were taken care of quickly.
Destinations and Excursions
Destinations and Excursions changed due to Hurricane Joaquin.
Onboard Activities
Carnival always provides first class entertainment. There was one comedian though that they need to never have back. Hank McGauley. They need to fire him. I'm sure Carnival will receive many complaints about him. He preached at the captive audience.
