Pack your patience! The food lines are long & unorganized however I did enjoy having dinner Seafood Bar (you do have to pay to eat here) Lucy Bowel & sandwich bar were my favorites.

There are two pool areas. The pool in the back of the ship is quiet and has two outdoor whirl pools.

Bring Dramamine and flowy clothes...sea was rough and food is plenty and so good, lol.

Don't get a cabin on deck 10, what they call cloud 9. there's no benefits . The distribution of the photos needs to be better organized and upgraded. Other cruise lines uploaded the pictures. I couldn't locate all my pictures taken. They need a better system especially when the pictures are costly.

Carries a big container for your drinks and coffee pot. Bring a fan because the rooms are very hot because you won’t be able to control the temperature.

Be prepared to experience the same amenities as the other updated carnival ships but on a smaller scale. The Sunrise was renovated enough to appreciate touches here and there. The ship holds close to 4,000 people so there can be some crowding. Best advice get to buffet early as possible.

Read the fine print... There are a lot of hidden fees. Do the math with how much to expect to drink to determine if a soda or drink package is worth purchasing.

Go to Pig and Anchor when you board the ship.

If you get motion sick go for a room mid ship and on a lower deck. The front and back are very rocky. Or take a plane. Lol
