Review summary

Overall it was a great cruise and what we expected.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We had an earlier boarding time and the process seemed very quick and organized

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We did not pay for any extra food or drinks. Although there were choices, the food seemed to be the exact same for each breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pools and waterslides were a huge hit with my kids (I was surprised at the short wait to get in the slide), mini golf was decent but hard when the ship was at sea, Dr. Seuss parade and story were excellent, Spa was similar to other cruises I have been on.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We were hoping for more family friendly entertainment and theater shows.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
My kids loved it, they gave us a cell phone so if we needed to get in contact with each other, the room(s) seemed really small and the hours were more limited than I expected.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was great, very friendly and helpful.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
They were constantly cleaning the floor by the pool areas, and when we were docked at ports we saw staff working to repaint areas. The layout seemed very strange, there were some floors you could not walk from one side to the other on and the kids are a was very difficult to figure out how to get to.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the room layout was creative to fit everything in, however the rooms were significantly smaller than other cruises we have been on. I don't know if I missed this in the description, but the lower bunk seemed shorter than a regular sized bed (I'm 5'6" and felt like my head and toes were both touching the top and bottom).

Ship tip

Bring a keychain or small bag with you to carry each of your room keys

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

5 out of 5
We did not do any excursions, but boarding and getting of the ship was smooth. We felt safe and there were lots of staff available to help.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
Sand and beach were beautiful, but be careful the high tide gets very high (most of the lawn chairs had water under them by the time we left). The transfer to a small boat to get off the ship and the walk to the beach were fine for our family (we have 4 children ages 3-10), but it might be difficult for a family with younger children or someone that can't walk as good.

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
It was very crowded (7 ships were all docked at the same time), I'm not sure eit this was because of itinerary changes because of the hurricane. It was a little confusing to get back in the gated area, so give yourself some time to get back to the ship (they made us go down to a different gate, which took about 10 extra minutes). If you go out of the gate, it was not very stroller or handicap accessible.
