Review summary

Fell in love with the Sunrise & Princess Cays. We love the private islands! Everything was perfect. Food quality was the best of any cruise we've taken. Outdoor space is nice. Ship is incredibly nice & feels so new!

Fastest embarkation, EVER! We arrived to port at 10:30, we were on the ship before 11:00. We had 12:30 boarding time, no FTTF.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

We cruised before the switch from Coca Cola to Pepsi. Everything was fresh & delicious! Our waitstaff was not as good as previous cruises, but we are a group of 8, so we understand it's difficult to serve us. Buffet had extra seating upstairs which is a plus. We love having omelettes made for us upstairs without having to wait in line. Pasta Bella is wonderful for lunch!

Onboard Activities

This ship has it all!! Everyone in the family will enjoy. We never found ourselves bored. Pools were clean (a bit cold though!), slides were fun, trivia was plentiful, singalongs in the atrium were a blast, the FunSquad were exceptional!

We love Carnival's playlist production shows. On our 4 night cruise, the Latin Nights show was simply a sit down show while the performers sang for us, no special effects or wow-factors. Sometimes the music was too loud we could not hear the singers talent! Overall, we still had a great experience.

100% exceptional!!

Ship Quality

Very clean, nice, felt so new! Crew always wiping down surfaces & vacuuming. Smoke smell from the Casino did linger through most of deck 5 & sometimes into the atrium. Didn't bother us too much, we were busy having fun!

Cabin / Stateroom

Steward was incredible. Great location! We love the quiet feel of deck 1. Carpet appeared to be clean & the surfaces were wiped down, no residue on the Clorox wipe I used on day 1. Great cabin!

Ship tip

If you are cruising with children, eat at the midship dining room for lunch on embarkation day. Laid back, buffet style away from the hustle of the lido deck. On deck 3, enter from behind the atrium staircases.
