Highs and lows and that's not just the rocking from the waves. The best workers we encountered on the ship were our cabin steward (forget his name) and Elena in food service. Trying to get a drink while in the casino was a bigger gamble than anything.

Review summary

Carnival Sunrise was a beautiful ship with comfortable cabins. The staff seemed like zombies with the exception of a few. The cruise director, Erin, was phenomenal as were Nat and Stephen.

Just preferred the set up in Port Canaveral more.

The servings in the dining room were more like big children's portions. 3 our of 4 of us at the table got 1 piece of broccoli on our plates. The food was barely warm.

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Grand Turk Island

3 out of 5
It was beautiful but the free chairs were gone because another ship arrived hours before us. We paid $25 for two chairs with umbrellas and had to walk the beach for drinks.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

5 out of 5
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! The mountains and the water are captivating. The dolphin excursion is pricey but well worth it!

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Problems with the port slowed down disembarkation. Then once off the ship the line to customs was RIDICULOUSLY long.
