Review summary

I was really excited to take my kids on their first cruise, but was quite disappointed by this cruise. It was reallly difficult to even try to enjoy the pool and the pool area, which is what we were really excited about. The buffet area was always crazy and always had lines.

The pool was impossible to use, it wasn’t so over crowded.. there was no where to sit (and when you did have a seat, someone usually took it while you’re in the pool).. and most of the activities on the top deck (mini golf, water slide) were closed..

The pools on ships are never designed or expected to hold most of the passengers at once. Traveling when school is in session, on a 10 day or longer itinerary or on an upscale line such as Symphony, Crystal or Viking will give you a better experience.

Everyone wants to be in the pool. 3000 passengers are not going to fit in 2 small pool areas. Reality check.

Taking our kids on their first cruise on this ship in November. We opted to skip summer. Hopefully it’s more calm when we go.
