Week of great fun

To start with Carnival did a great job for the entire trip.
The room was great. We had room 1101 on the spa deck. Very quiet but very near all the activity. Plus the use of the spa all week was a bonus. Plenty of closet and draw space for a family of four. Do bring a power strip if you need more than one outlet. The bathroom was plenty large and did have an outlet above the mirror. The deck outside the room was plenty large for us to sit down and enjoy the view, or all four of us to stand up and watch the ship pull into port. When you want extreme quiet go to the serenity deck, right above the spa deck.
The food was great and all the bad press about quality and long lines are not what we found. If you were ever hungry on this trip, it was your own fault. First the Lido deck has a 8 station Buffet. The longest time in line was 5 minutes max., because of asking for something special. The only complaint was the scrambled eggs were bland. If you get a omelet, it was much better tasting.
We were in the Golden Pearl dining room. The food was great and plenty of choices every night. The staff was awesome and don't get enough credit for the fun and work they do. Try there brunch, it's really good.
We did do a tea time one afternoon which was fun.
All the deserts on the cruise were unbelievable great. To say it is very easy to gain weight.
The shows and entertainment all week were fun. Each show we went to was very good and left us laughing. I recommend trying them all.
This ship was awesome and I highly recommend it.
You will read the the ship decor is to pink or bland. That isn't the truth. The ship is very highly decorated and the look is fine.
I'm sure that some people have gripes, but that maybe because you always can't please everyone. In all the people we met on the cruise, I never heard one person complain.
Go enjoy a cruise on the Carnival Splendor.
