Ship: Carnival Splendor
Cabin Type: Balcony

Review SummaryMy family cruised on the Carnival Splendor which sailed from Pier 90 in New York on 05/25/13. We had a great time. The boat left on time, after the safety drill.
My 8 year old daughter loved Camp Carnival! She made many friends that she enjoyed seeing at the pool throughout the trip. The counselors were efficient and had many activities that she loved. She also attended the Night Owl camp, which allowed my husband and sisters to enjoy the events scheduled for adults. My 16 year old son celebrated his birthday on the boat with his cousins and many friends he met at the club for his age group. He enjoyed the basketball, midnight dodge ball, miniature golf and of course the night club for his age group.
We spent most of our time at the casino. They did not offer free alcoholic beverages like most casinos, but for the most part we had fun.
There was plenty of food available at all times. The food was okay, but the variety of dishes made it good.
Housekeeping was great! Our room was cleaned at least twice daily and they always gave us fresh towels. The bathroom was small but efficient and held all of our things neatly.
We would definitely go on another cruise with Carnival!
