This was our first time on a Carnival cruise ship and we had a great time with our family. There was no shortage of food options to fit the appetitites of each of the 14 members of the family. The balcony room we had comfortably slept 4 and was relatively quiet. The staff was amazing - everyone was very friendly and went out of their way to make our vacation special. We were not thrilled with the decor (quite tacky - looked like it was decorated back in the 80s yet was re-done only 3 years ago) and it was difficult to get around even after 5 or 6 days. Ship was also VERY VERY COLD.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
food was good but not great - felt there could have been more options for the salad bar, more fresh veggie options, and the continental breakfast before 7:00am was only fruit, sugar cereal, pastries and lunchmeats/cheeses - no bagels, toast, english muffins, hard boiled eggs etc until the full breakfast opened. A few itesm on the dinner menu were inedible but overall good dinners. Restaurants were over-airconditioned so bring jackets/sweaters.

9-11 year old program seeemed to be geared more towards the 9 year old girls than the 11 year old boys.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ship sizea was fine but layout was difficult to get used to. Very few decks went all the way through the ship so there was a quite a few places where you have to go up or down a few floors to go through. Bathrooms were clean and while tacky, the public areas were also clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very much enjoyed the stateroom, lots of storage space, layout was great - very roomy for 4 people. Would have been nice to be able to open the balcony dividers as we had muliple rooms sidebyside.

Pros: The crew and staff were extraordinarily friendly and personable

Cons: the layout of the ship and the decor
