7 Night Mexican Riviera (Los Angeles Roundtrip)
Sail Date: June 03, 2012
Ship: Carnival Splendor
Cabin Type: Inside
Traveled As: Couple
Reviewed: 5 years ago

The ship was very beautiful. It was large and it was hardly noticable that there were 3650 people on board, except at dinner time. The buffet line was out the door each day and the line moved at the pace of a 95year old human.

I also disliked that many of the events planned that took my interest, ie: trivia, give aways, shows, and other fun activites, were scheduled back to back during lunch or dinner hour. If you wanted to do trivia followed by a scavenger hunt, you'd be playing right at meal times. It was very inflexible. This was a daily occurance. You have to choose to give something up.

Food and Dining

Dining room food was horribly managed and the food was not great.

Pros: Getting off boat exploring mexico was better than being on the ship.

Cons: I did not like the prices of liquor, the pools were always jam packed, and the dining food was nasty and service was sloooow. (The non buffet)
