Exceeded Expectations

Sail Date: December 04, 2011

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship was well managed. All of the crew seemed genuinely happy and gregarious. The gym program was great. The food and dining room staff made the cruise.

Pros: Chief's Table

Cons: Rude Passenger

Recommends Carnival Splendor? Yes!

Ship Quality
I would have enjoyed a walking deck under cover but on this class of ship it is not available. The dining room layout (for the most stern one) is cumbersome to reach.
Food and Dining
The DIDJA and the comfort food new additions to the menu made selections more interesting. There was always food available and we greatly appreciated the ability to order room service for a 6am delivery so we could attend the stretch and abs. classes.
Cabin / Stateroom
We had a wonderful big cabin with two large windows with more than enough storage space.
Service and Staff
We saw nemerous occassions where staff helped individuals and actually led the way when there was confusion.
Entertainment
The productions shows were expertly executed. The house staff also had the lights, music, stage props all working perfectly.
