Nice but constant 'upsell' ruined it

Sail Date: May 15, 2011

Pros: The Serenity Deck, Hot Tubs

Cons: Once you've paid to be there, they just want to sell you more products & services

Recommends Carnival Splendor? No.

Very working class oriented, with slightly overweight lead performers (who really should know better), and such 'delights' as a 'hairy chest contest'. Eugh.
Food and Dining
Great but few veggie/vegan options. They don't even mention veggie burgers are in fact available. You have to pre-order such things, feeling like an outcast.
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
One waiter tried to con us - we ordered a drink clearly labeled as $7.95 but when the check arrived it was $15.95 so we sent the drink back, but he still charged it to our account, despite assurances from the Manager otherwise. Beware.
