7 Night Mexican Riviera (Los Angeles Roundtrip)
Sail Date: April 24, 2011
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Family (young children)

Ship was fine but the interior decorator should be shot! Public areas, restautants, passage ways looked like one bad decorating selection after another1 My eyes hurt from this clash of designs concept!

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Very good food and service!

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Good shows for adults and for children.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
Good program over all but some of the things promised to be done by the children were not done. Also the Children's Program seemed to be a "drop zone" for parents that wanted to party and ignore their children. If that is the case leave the children at home!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
First rate staff and crew!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Same as above! Crew, wait staff and food are first rate! Just keep your eyes closed!

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Small but well appointed and staff was excellent!

Beautiful Mexician City! Should have spent 2 days in Puerto Vallarta! History, culture and what a Mexician City and Life is all about. Too much for one day on a cruise.
Don't Miss: The downtown area and the drive down the coast.

Poor choice of a port of call. Bar town with no feeling of what Mexico is all about! One day only in the future!
Don't Miss: Nothing!

Pros: Room and wait staff

Cons: 2 days in Cabo San Lucus is a joke! Too many kids! Same old stuff, over priced drinks, pictures, pictures, pictures and junk for sale in the gift shops!

Recommends Carnival Splendor? Yes!
