We recently sailed on the Carnival Splendor with a full house. The sailing was phenomenal, we enjoyed all the adventures and would recommend the adventure for all, especially families.
We participated in the "FUN TOUR" of the boat on the last sailing day of the cruise. This was the greatest adventure of all time. My entire family went on the tour and it was absolutely wonderful to see all the working of the boat and staff after having been sailing with them for six days. We were able to see things, that passengers normally are not privy too--and this was absolutely amazing. We had pictures taken by the ships bell, and with the captain on the bridge, and were also given some amazing treats. A sculptured swan, some chocolate covered strawberries and deserts sent to our stateroom, and a backpack bag of goodies with a hat. I cannot describe this experience in words alone since it was a nice finallee to a wonderful week of cruising.

The new shows were entertaining, and it was actually fun being able to watch rehearsals. There was a new cast on board and they were very talented.

Service and Staff

They were the best! They took pride in their appearance and quality of work. They were very helpful, outgoing and wiling to help in any way possible. It seemed like they actually went out of their way to do.

The balcony room was magnificent, and very much to our liking. It was a wonderful extension of our room. It was just marvelous to b e out enjoying on the sea, enjoying the sailing experience.

Cabin / Stateroom

We booked very last minute, and had a glorious balcony stateroom for three. Our location was on the 6th deck and conveniently located between elevators and stairs. I do not see how there would be a not so good room anywhere on the ship.

Hired a taxi for a personal tour. Was able to see things not included on the excursions, has a marvelous overall experience. Even ate at a wonderfully authentic Mexican Restaurant.
Don't Miss: Market and Church

Weather was extremely hot and humid. Walked around the area and shopped. Went to an indoor mall, and caught a movie. The port seemed to have enough things to entertain everyone no matter their interests.
Don't Miss: Just checking out the beaches, shopping and overall town.

Walked around and took a tour by cycle. We were able to watch the children swimming with the dolphins, and had lunch at a wonderful restaurant on the water
Don't Miss: Bottom glass boat tour was awesome

Pros: Being on the Pacific Ocean, with all the natural beauty of the sea

Cons: The weather -- (very humid at all ports of call)
