It was very elaborately decorated and clean in all areas. It didn't even feel like we were on a ship the majority of the time, there were so many places to go.

Food and Dining

There was almost always something to eat. I was expecting a bit more variety during dinner, but it was still good. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks were my favorite meals.

VERY clean!

Cabin / Stateroom

We didn't have a window but hardly missed it because the beds were SOOOO comfortable and there was so much storage.

Overall just a beautiful city and beachfront. Clear water, white sand, great food and new stores all over. Just didn't get enough time to explore!
Don't Miss: The beach

The Malecon (beach and shopping strip)is BEAUTIFUL and has some wonderful sculptures, sandart and performances. I loved everywhere I went in Pto Vallarta! Try to get up on the hillsides to look down on the city--what views!
Don't Miss: Malecon and the beautiful old churches

The Golden Zone is very far off from port but is probably the safest and cleanest place to just do touristy stuff and hang on the beach. However there were some really neat historic, older parts of the city to explore, too. Just don't find yourself in the real gritty areas isolated...might be dangerous.
Don't Miss: The open taxis! They are crazy and fun!

Pros: The relaxation and low stress atmosphere

Cons: The choppy weather the last two days

Recommends Carnival Splendor? Yes!
