The ship is almost brand new and that is reflected in the cabins and common areas. We took our cruise during Spring Break but the 1200 children onboard were never an issue since they were occupied with plenty of activities through Camp Carnival. The staff did an excellent job of keeping their activity areas separate from the adults. Service for the most part was outstanding. However, we had two negative experiences with room service on a drink order and a breakfast order. Both failed to show. Shore excursions were pretty decent overall. Our destination was Mexico so "exotic" shore excurisions are limited at best. The food was excellent overall and as always there was a tremendous selection. Loved the sushi bar (although you can't order per say) and the Rottisirie. My biggest gripe with Carnival is that they nickel and dime you to death for everything and I mean everything. Pretty much everthing but your beach towells and your routine beverages are going to cost extra.
Better than expected
Sail Date: March 01, 2010
Pros: The Carnival Staff were always friendly and upbeat.
Cons: The embarkation process was somewhat chaotic. There were Carnival Cruise Staff in the area but none of them were being assertive and providing direction unless asked.
