A wonderful cruise!

Sail Date: January 01, 2010

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

The ship was very well kept. The decor was a little cheesy. (Hot pink animal print) Very Las Vegas. For a newer ship, it seemed very out of date. We didn't like that there were only a few floors that we could get to the outside deck from.

Pros: The food was excellent every night!

Cons: The entertainment.

Recommends Carnival Splendor? Yes!

We often felt there was nothing to do. The shows and activities lacked variety. The shows were not at all family friendly. We walked out of almost every one of them because of the inappropriateness of the dress on stage.(Breasts and bottoms hanging out of costumes.) We even found that the dancers were dressed very trashy when they helped with other activities on the ships such as bingo, etc. We would have enjoyed the singing/dancing shows if the singers/dancers were dressed. This is not what we were looking for in a cruise. The hypnotist was fun. We have enjoyed jugglers, acrobats, etc. on other cruise ships.
Ship Quality
We never figured out the ship layout which has not been a problem for us in the past.
Food and Dining
Marvelous every meal, every day!!!!
