Splendor Mexican Reveria

Sail Date: January 01, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The Splendor is a very large ship. The staff kept it very clean. The cabins are a generous size. On the negative side, the decor was awful in some areas. What were they thinking?

Pros: Wonderful staff

Cons: Awful decor in some public areas.

Recommends Carnival Splendor? Yes!

Ship Quality
In some areas the decor was awful, especially in the main dining rooms and atrium. The rest of the ship was fun and pleasant. The "Pearl" dining rooms were cartoonish. The atrium had a cave feeling. Even the elevators had a "pink contact paper" tacky look.
Food and Dining
There was a variety of very good food; sushi, pizza, Indian and Mediterranean. The food in the main dining rooms was excellent and the service execptional.
Cabin / Stateroom
This was one of the best we ever had on any cruise line
Service and Staff
Everyone was friendly. Room service was prompt. The photo shop was exceptionally fast. Our room steward was a gem.
Entertainment
We only saw the Stage shows.
