The Cruise that failed

Sail Date: November 01, 2009

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The ship was clean, entertainment was great, bad customer service. The shore excursions were worthless and did not meet the positive advertizement, with exception the zip line was fantastic. The World Class fishing in Cabo was worthless and the true act of fishing never ocurred, you would be better off taking a tour of the bay. The excitement does happen when your ship colides with another ship, that was fun.

Pros: New Ship

Cons: 6 hours late departure, 6 hours late getting back to Long Beach

Recommends Carnival Splendor? No.

The shows were great, but stay away from the casino, it is a waste of time. The slot payoff's are to low and no one wins
Food and Dining
We only eat in the Lido buffet and the food was predictable. Our other cruises on Carnival were great.
Service and Staff
No help at all, after finding out that we would not make port on time and miss our flight home.
Children's Programs
The children programs are great if you have kid's, but if you are looking for a get-away they are everywhere.
Ship Quality
Very clean, but the photo setups blocked the isles ever night.
Cabin / Stateroom
First class
