We traveled on Carnival's new ship Splendor. The ship 's interior decor left a lot to be desired. Not the most impressive ship in Carnivals fleet.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The overall quality of the food was not as good as some of the other ships I've been on.
Many of the eating areas were closed at inconvenient times. The formal dinning room had very good food and the service was great.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The entertainment was good. Many activities to choose from on the ship. The port excursions we booked on the ship were too expensive for what they gave. The quality of the excursions were poor.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Great staff in every department except for the buffet. Everyone else went above & beyond to try and accomadate our needs.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship is huge, like most in their fleet. The public areas were very well maintained. I didn't like the decor (just not my personal taste). The ship is very clean. I didn't like the fact that to go from one end of the ship to the other, on certain floors you had to go up a
floor to by pass cabins. Left a lot of running around.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had an inside cabin, that was very small( average size with other ships). It was very clean & had a good amount of closet and storage space. Even though it was small it was very comfortable.

Pros: Price was great. Last minute accomadations-impressive.(less than 24 hours)

Cons: Impatient telephone operator.

Recommends Carnival Splendor? Yes!
