There's no such thing as a bad cruise!

Sail Date: August 16, 2009

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

The ship is large but seemed a little chopped up. Getting from area to area didn't flow smoothly. The food was very good but not spectacular. Service areas were great but the crew didn't seem as enthusiastic as we're used to.

Pros: Service

Cons: Ship Layout

Recommends Carnival Splendor? Yes!

Ship Quality
Entertainment
The entertainment was good but not the "first class" I've seen in the past. Some of the dancers were older. There was no "hype" for activities on board. Sometimes they just didn't happen.
Food and Dining
The food was good but nothing was spectacular.
Cabin / Stateroom
Slightly larger than some cabins on previous ships. That was a bonus
Service and Staff
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
The beaches are a good walk so if that's your preference, take some transportation.
Mazatlan, Mexico
It's worth taking the city tour in this port. Things are pretty spread out.
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Downtown was a good walk from the ship (about 4 miles) but the best bargain was boarding the local buses that go right by the ship and back. Only $1.00 for two people.
