Horrible experience

Sail Date: April 01, 2009

Room Type: Balcony

We went on a cruise in April 2009 to Mexico. We took a detour to Cabo San Lucas for a "medical" stop. Supposedly someone stubbed there toe and needed medical attention. We were there for three hours and then an announcement from the captain stated we were not stopping in MX because of the H1N1 flu. We were then headed for San Francisco, we were lied to from the first day. The weather turned bad and the seas were sickening. The crew became almost volitile towards the guests, and the food and service just was aweful. We had no compensation for this trip so we will NEVER sail Carnival Cruise Lines again. Do yourself a favor and go with Royal Carribean or something with a good reputation! I spent $2500 on this cruise and saved a long time for it what a dissapointment!

Pros: Getting off

Cons: Crew is very rude, and food was bland and cold

Recommends Carnival Splendor? No.

Food and Dining
The only good food was in the steakhouse, all other food was bland.
Service and Staff
Wait staff seamed put-out by any suggestions, our waiter was staring at me from across the room because I complained about my food being cold.
Ship Quality
