Our overall experience was very positive. However, the buffets should not be self serve. Balcony doors need a mechanism to keep them open. The decor was not that impressive; outdated and aging. Staff well trained and extremely courteous. We would have liked less time in Skagway and much more time in Juneau and Victoria, B.C.

The Spirit was okay, clean, friendly, accommodating, but not as impressive as the Carnival Legend.

The Carnival Spirit had so much to offer at a continuous around the the clock time. The service and staff were exceptional to the needs of everyone on board. The food was excellent and always plenty available. The cleanliness of the ship was top rated as well.

The ship and crew were great. The food very good. Their orginization and handling of guests was very well organized. Staff very friendly.

the crew members had already got their tips and gruity out of their passengers so they didn't work so hard to please their clients all other ships I've been our were much better

Ship was good but the food wasn't all that great. Carnival dropped off in the food section.

We recently took an Alaskan cruise out of Seattle. The ship was nice and I really appreciate they let you take 1 bottle of wine per adult. The buffet was average and I did end up getting very sick the 3rd nite. I had only ate the ships food and no where else. That is why I know I got food poisoning off the buffet it was either the salad bar or eggs. I was also not impressed with their shopping representative who sells you this book of coupons for 30 dollars and you are suppose to get all this free stuff in all the ports you stopped. Well she should have warned you about two things if you planned excursions there is absolutely no time to shop in two ports and the one port that I tried to retrieve all my coupons. I had to go in Jewelery shops to get 2 dollar free gifts and tell the pushy merchants no, no, no I do not want to buy anything. Don't buy the coupon book not worth it. Overall the ship and the housekeepers were good and some staff at the buffet.

Large enough to feel safe; small enough to get from one end to ther other in a few minutes; cabins were actually roomier than I expected; plenty of restrooms around the ship. Sufficient areas to be out on deck between activities.

The ship was fantastic, beautiful design and architecture.

The staff treat you like royalty, our balcony view was awesome, the food was delicious...almost didn't want to return home.

The ship was very clean and looked new and updated. The crew was very friendly and ready to help. Our cabin was very comfortable and having a balcony was the best this we did. When cruising to Alaska, I highly reccommend a balcony.

The Carnival Spirit is a pretty ugly ship inside. Feels like a cross between a run down Applebee's and a under-funded theme park. The quality of the crew, service and food were the only saving graces.

I was very pleased with every aspect of the ship.

Overall, loved the boat and loved the Alaska cruise. Sure was great to get out of the Georgia July heat for a couple of weeks! One of the best trips of my life! I liked that there were many places to go to view scenery and wildlife on the top decks....both under cover on the Lido deck, and up above on the Sky/Sun/Sports decks. Also on deck 3. Many, many postiitve aspects of the boat. I liked the decor throughout (other than the art between cabins and in some public areas that I don't think children should be seeing) and liked the design of the ship. Food, cabins, kids activities, adult activities were great as well.

I would not recommend a Carnival cruise.

It is a beautiful, well run ship. On our last cruise, it took forever to get off the ship for excursions and for our final debarkation. Each time we got off the Spirit, we were able to debark in a timely, efficient manner.

The ship was very large but well kept. On one of the days that we were in port the carpeting was replaced in our room. That left a 'new carpet smell' for the remainder of the cruise. Another day, they were scheduled to clean our balcony so we had to remove our items, lock the door, and close the blinds. I think that Carnival's maintainance should not have been done when we were paying for the room.
