7 Night Alaska (Seattle Roundtrip)
Sail Date: September 04, 2012
Ship: Carnival Spirit
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Couple
Reviewed: 5 years ago
The ship was in good standing on cleanliness and what it had to offer. The crew was rude and non helpful especially the Customer Service desk. This was the next to last cruise that the Spirit will do in Alaska before heading to its new home in Australia and it showed. I know they have to deal with many people at once but you never let go your customer service priorities and be lifeless and non helpful in your dealings with the passengers. They also need to make sure their crew have a good handle on issues that arise and not give out inaccurate information.

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
This is my 5th Carnival cruise and I was very disappointed in the choices and lack of hot food. Only time we were able to get a hot meal was at the Fish Co in Skagway before re-boarding the ship after tours.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Not enough for us tweeners people that are over 40 but under 55

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Better English speaking crew when dealing with passengers on a daily bases. Customer Service staff non-attentive\, would not seek answers to questions or problems and rude.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Good layout and accessible for everyone. Some areas need updates as in tables\, upholstery and paint. Overall in good shape

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Needs a bigger TV. Steward (Bagus) was excellent and attentive to our needs.

Pros: The ports were wonderful

Cons: the quality of people on the ship

Recommends Carnival Spirit? No.
