Our First Cruise But Not the Last!

Sail Date: August 01, 2012

Room Type: Suite

Our overall experience was very positive. However, the buffets should not be self serve. Balcony doors need a mechanism to keep them open. The decor was not that impressive; outdated and aging. Staff well trained and extremely courteous. We would have liked less time in Skagway and much more time in Juneau and Victoria, B.C.

Pros: Courteous Staff\, Relaxed atmosphere.

Cons: No hand sanitizers at Buffets. People eating from trays while in line or picking up food and putting it back. Buffets should NOT be self serve!

Recommends Carnival Spirit? Yes!

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Loved the \"Any Time\" Dining. Cheesecake needs vast improvement. Buffet area needs hand sanitizers. Buffets should not be self serve. We saw people eating directly from trays while in line and picking up food and putting it back.
Cabin / Stateroom
Balcony door needs mechanism to keep it open to get fresh air into cabin.
Service and Staff
Most courteous staff ever encountered while traveling.
House band was good. House dancers were amaturish. Comics were just okay.
