Amazing Family Cruise

Sail Date: April 01, 2010

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Balcony

My husband, 12 yr old son and I recently cruised on "The Spirit".....what a great family vacation! The staff never disappointed. We never needed to ask for anything. We were pampered from sunrise to the wee hours of the morning. Our cabin Steward made sure to leave "towel animals" which our son looked forward to everyday. We met amazing people, some we have become friends with and look forward to cruising again. The variety of entertainment, food and off-ship excursions were AMAZING! Swimming with the dolphins in CABO was beyond words! I have cruised twice before, on two other cruise lines.......this by far, was THE BEST!! Thank you!

Pros: Lots to do for all ages

Cons: Was unaware that

Recommends Carnival Spirit? Yes!

Ship Quality
"The Spirit" has a wonderful, colorful ambiance. We cruised during "spring break" with many never would've known it. The floors were spotless, clean. When a soda was spilled, there was someone there IMMEDIATELY to clean it.
Food and Dining
Our waiters, Tre & Leslie were INCREDIBLE!! They remembered everyone's likes/dislikes, kept our glasses full and the laughter coming. The entertainment nightly was soo much fun.
Cabin / Stateroom
Rosario, our Steward was wonderful. He made sure our son was not disappointed and left a different "towel animal" every night.
Service and Staff
For 8 consecutive days we encountered nothing but friendly, helpful & courteous staff. I saw staff members assisting wheelchair bound travelers (without being asked) carrying food trays........
The variety of shows was so wide! From magicians, to comedians, to singing and dancing.......something for everyone. The communication informing cruisers of age-appropriate "happenings" was clear, so planning was easy.
Children's Programs
Could not have asked for better activities for our pre-teen, sometimes hard to please 12 year old son! He was never bored, met new friends and is already asking when and where our next cruise will be!
