Review SummaryThis was our first family cruise & it was amazing! We cruised on Carnival Spirit (out of San Diego) during Easter break for 7 days with stops at Cabo, La Paz & Mazatlan! The ship was gorgeous and seemed fairly new! Our oceanview rooms had plenty of space with lots of nice storage cabinets for our clothes & belongings. The food was delicious in the dining room and their speciality restaurant (Noveau steakhouse). The Noveau restaurant needed reservations which were easy to get that day and there is a cost of $30 per person. The price was very low for a 4 course meal that was superb! There were plenty of activities for our kids--3 pools, jacuzzis, tall circular water slide, mini golf, basketball, ping pong, as well as kids clubs/camps. The buffet was plentiful and all day long with great displays. The shows were fantastic each night with a last day show called Legends, that featured people on the cruise that tried out during the week. All of the staff were very accomodating and we felt very catered to the whole week. We enjoyed the ports and the weather was great. It certainly was hard to end our week on the Carnival Spirit.
Pros: totally being catered to and delicious food!
Cons: a bit crowded at the pools because of spring break
