We returned June 19 from "Spirit" Alaska cruise. The ship was beautiful, service excellent. That's the GOOD. The lack of coordination at Anchorage for bus service to Seward (and cruise) was poor, very long line and long wait, representitives did not know why, buses were not there for flights. Trip from Anchorage to ship should have taken 2 1/2 hours, but ended up taking 4 1/2 hours. This included a glorious side trip to an animal refuge center and gift shop! The dining room food was very disappointing, menu sounded great, service excellent but food NOT. Many entrees seemed to be reheated, and poor quality.Lots of room for improvemrnt here, Lido Deck OK, but should not have to eat Cafeteria style to get better food. Y & M MonroeCruise June 12-19-02
