I had such a wonderful time on this cruise. I will definitely sail with Carnival again. I enjoyed the dining experiences and their "showtimes". Orlando was a great cruise director and made each show fun.
As first time cruisers, we had a wonderful experience. Nassau and Half Moon Cay are wonderful ports of call. They are worthy of visiting again. Freeport is not a good trade with Grand Turk which was cancelled due to hurricane damage. All of the carnival excursions at Freeport were not open to this cruise. Fortunately the existing excursions were still good.
The ship itself was old and not updated at all. I was given a card that said I earned a bottle of wine from the casino staff but no one knew who to go get it. So I never got the bottle of wine and I still have the card. The excursions were really fun and the people of the isovery friendly. Cruises are great fun but not on this ship.
Carnival never gave me credit for a cruise I went on back in 2009 in November. It went to the Bahama's, Grand Turk and the Virgin Islands. I went with Shawn Falls out of Pittsburgh. I think the date was 11-09 2009.
We had a great time! The embarkation and debarkation process was simple. The food was amazing. Our waiter Catherine was one of the highlights of the trip as well as Carlos our Stewart. Everyone made us feel like family! We had a great time and will be cruising again!
Not a bad cruise. Older ship but still fun and had a good time. No real complaints about the ship or the cruise however it was a less expensive cruise and it was obvious from some of the other "vacationers" that they had not cruised before. Several rude and obnoxious people behaving "low class". have not seen this on other Carnival cruises.
Since this was our first cruise we really don't have anything to compare to. However we had a good time and enjoyed our trip. The staff, especially our room steward and main dinner host, were very nice and had wonderful attitudes. Only once did we have an unpleasant response from a staff member, and that was really more like indifference. Overall I am very satisfied with my cruise experience.
We enjoyed the cruise, but I am very upset about us missing a port with no form of compensation. It really put a damper on the entire trip. They had already changed our port from Grand Turk to Freeport, and then we missed it all together. There were several things that we had planned for that port, and we did not get to do any of them.
We had the best honeymoon ever! Thank you all so much. I'd say other than a normal cruise experience, excellent food, and the excursions what really made this cruise over the top was the incredibly friendly staff all around, you should be proud of the customer experience you are providing!
We had good food and nice family time but would probably do a different cruise line next time. Overall, we had good service and they are what makes your trip. Sadly, the one person at Guest Services stands out as the downer of our vacation and ultimately reflects on the cruise line.
