A short but sweet holiday get away cruise
This was a pleasant cruise to Nassau for three nights on a smaller and older Carnival cruise ship. The service was as usual very good from the cabin stewards, dining and bar personnel. Enjoyed the musical stage shows very much. Thought the comedians were somewhat below average. The dinner menu planning seemed unusual and not quite up to par based on other cruises. For example, pairing a small filet mignon with a braised beef rib on the same plate was very unappetizing. The dinner menu choices were disappointing overall. Didn't get to try the Mongolian Wok for lunch as there was always an extremely long wait. I experienced food poisoning the last night of the cruise from something I ate onboard, and think it may have been one of the salads I had for lunch. The check-in and check-out process at Canaveral was satisfactory. Would recommend this cruise for a short getaway to relax and enjoy three days on a ship.
