the ship needs to be updated.  The crew were wonderful.  There was not enough activities.  The food was average although the Filet was delicous for an extra twenty dollars which was well worth it.

When a ship reaches 22 years old (Was built in 1993), there is little to be done to update the ship without the cruise line spending millions to do so. Cruise lines would rather put that money into new ships and selling their older vessels. I think that over the next few years, you will see Carnival weeding out it's older vessels such as the Sensation, Ecstasy, Paradise to name a few. Many passengers have passed through the ship over 22 years and all that foot traffic causes much wear and tear to the ship as does the millions of hours the ship has spent at sea. If newer is your venue, surely a ship 22 years old doesn't fit.
