Sail Date: March 01, 2014 Ship: Carnival Sensation Cabin Type: Oceanview Traveled As: Singles/Friends Reviewed: 3 years ago
The ship is set up a little strangely with hallways that do not go through so it's a lot of up and down to get somewhere on the same level.

The nightly shows were fine - not great\, but fine. The entertainment during the day was abyssmal. We went to a couple of trivia contests and there were 5-10 people playing - I figured out why when the top prize was a four inch cheap trophy. We went to bingo one day - it cost $25 per person. there were about 100-150 people there. It was ONE GAME. and the winner got $600. Seriously? The pool areas were so overcrowded with kids running and screaming\, there was no relaxing there. in each of the deck hot tubs\, there were conservatively 12-15 kids between the ages of 7-12 in each hot tub - I didn't even think kids that age were supposed to be in hot tubs.
Service and Staff

The waitstaff in the dining room was great as was our room steward. The challenge I had was with the tables in the casual areas. Dirty trays and glasses would sit for an hour or two with waiters going past to sell more drinks. It was disgusting.

One time\, there was a girl who had gone to the martini tasting and was seriously over served\, since she passed out in the hallway and lay there while her 6 friends laughed at her.

The room was nice\, we were on deck 7. Only one outlet in the whole room - made it tough - we needed to ask for an extension cord for my mother's CPAP machine - they provided with no problem.
