Carnival Sensation Cruise Review to Caribbean - Bahamas

Ship: Carnival Sensation

Having always sailed with Royal Caribbean, Carnival was, in my opinion a lower grade party cruise - I couldn't have been more wrong.
The mix of passengers was varied; we had a 90 year old on our table at dinner who was a hoot, yes there were younger people who were having fun but they were not raucous. In fact, the Disney Magic that was parked next to us at Nassau was louder and roudier.
The ship itself was older but spotlessly clean, we had an interior cabin which was bigger than its RC counterpart with a full sized shower which for me was a huge bonus. The staff were always courteous and very friendly, how on earth they manage to remember everyones name is amazing - but they did. The purpose of our cruise was to relax and we did just that.
We opted to avoid any of the entertainment of which there was plenty if you wanted it, our preference was to avoid crowds and we achieved this.
There is an abundance of seating on the many decks for everyone to use giving us the space that we wanted. My only critism would be the ships layout, to go from deck to deck on the outside of the ship requires the use of stairs. On Enchantment of the Sea's you can walk around the ship on one level, this isn't possible on the Sensation and the jogging track is tiny. Other than that we had a fantastic time and are already planning our next trip.
