Worst cruise to date

Sail Date: August 26, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Oceanview

Ship decor was very dark and gloomy. Food was horrible. The activities were repetitious for such a short cruise. Staff were constantly asking your to buy stuff so it was hard to relax. Staff was not helpful unless you were buying from them. We would ask for the servers to bring non alcohol related items (ex ice) and they would not return. The staff was not enforcing the dress code for the dining rooms which was supposed to be cruise casual but ended up being an extension of the pool deck.

Pros: Housekeeping staff very friendly

Cons: everything else

Recommends Carnival Sensation? No.

Ship Quality
Ship was clean.
Food and Dining
Had a hard time finding selections at both lunch and dinner.
Cabin / Stateroom
Need to install hairdryers
Service and Staff
Wait staff made you feel like you already tipped them (ship does automatic gratuity) so food wait staff do not work as hard to serve quickly (at least in your time dining). Bar staff constanlty in your face asking if you want a drink
