I was concerned about our trip given some of the previous reviews. However, I know this is an older ship. I know it's a 3-day getaway (party cruise). And I know it's a mainstream option. So I wasn't expecting a luxury cruise with gourmet food and multiple entertainment options. First - the food was fine. We ate in the dining room and the buffet. Both were completely fine. There were not as many choices in the buffet as the mega ships. But what was there was plentiful and good. The salad bar was great. The desserts were great. Second - the service was outstanding. The staff was friendly, helpful and always willing to help. I don't think Carnival staffs as many as they used to - so the service isn't what it was. But that's not because the people who are there aren't giving their best. They were great. Third - the ship is a little dated. It's older. But it was clean. And you can see the modernization efforts. There was an occassional odor. But nothing overwhelming and not for long. We always saw crew cleaning. The room was a little small. But again - it's an older ship. We had an aft balcony and watching us sail away from Port Canaveral or Nassau from the comfort of our balcony was a plus. Keep in mind if you take one of these cabins you will feel motion and hear the engines. But we like that - you know you are at sea :)

Food and Dining

Again - limited options due to size and age of the ship\, but what was there was plentiful and good quality.

Show lounge shows were definitely lacking in both availability and quality. The guitar player in the lobby was awesome. The options are limited. And the quality is hit and miss.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was outstanding. From the dining room staff\, to the buffet staff\, to the cabin steward\, to the art gallery crew. We did not have a less than stellar staff interaction all weekend.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
It is what it is. It's an older ship. If your expectations are accurate you won't be disappointed.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Smaller than cabins on the newer ships\, but the bed was comfortable and the cabin was well maintained. No hairdryers! Keep that in mind for sure!

Pros: Relaxed atmosphere\, cheerful crew.

Cons: Limited entertainment options
