Port was close to home - though we preferred NCL, we thought we'd give Carnival a try. Check in was a breeze inspite of the long lines. We got into our stateroom within 1 hour of boarding. Rooms were clean and adequately sized. Food was ok, though nothing to write home about. Service was cordial and efficient as expected. Ship's interior decor was gaudy at the least, but tolerable. Shows were not that great. I really don't like dining with other passengers, I much prefer the signature freestyle dining of NCL. Still it was an enjoyable getaway, good value for money. We'd cruise again with Carnival if the price is right.
