We recently cruised on the Carnival Sensation. It was anything but a Sensation. The food was usually cold and the wait for the food was longer than we had experienced in the past. We were also disappointed that the cleanliness of the ship was at question. Everything looked "smeared". Almost like it was wiped down with a dirty cloth.
Also a surprise disappointment was the entertainment. It was not as professional as it has been in the past....even Amanda was a little frumpy and seemed to be filling in for someone rather than it was her job to make certain that the guests were entertained. The "Curves" show was good and the 80's show was good....but the last man standing and the welcome show was truly disappointing. Danny liked to hear himself laugh.....and he was not funny!
We may give Carnival another try....too many cruise lines and opportunities to waste a lot of my money.

Pros: convenience of port

Cons: food and entertainment
