An Outstanding Cruise!

Sail Date: October 23, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship appeared to be in good operating order and was very clean.

Pros: food, food, food, and the hospitality of the crew, the beds!

Cons: the rudeness of some of the passengers.

Recommends Carnival Sensation? Yes!

Ship Quality
The interior of the ship looked a little worn in the public places. The interior of the elevators and the area surrounding the elevators needs attention.
Children's Programs
Children under 8 shouldn't be allowed on cruises, unless it's a Disney ship. But then again, some of their parents shouldn't have been allowed either.
Food and Dining
The food was the best! I would highly recommend that you partake in the "Chef's Table" package. It was definitely the icing on the cake for the last evening aboard.
Cabin / Stateroom
Very clean, the beds were like sleeping on air!
Service and Staff
OUTSTANDING! They work so very hard to make you relax! I saw some of them take verbal abuse and disrespect from some the jerk passengers and they just kept on smiling! Job Well Done!
Entertainment
Always something to do! If you get bored, it's your own fault!
Freeport, Grand Bahama Island
Wasn't impressed. But it was a way to get off the ship and do a little shopping.
Nassau, Bahamas
You must go the Atlantis and see the aquarium. But do some things on your own. Some of the tours were pricey and you can do them at your own pace.
Don't Miss: The downtown shopping area is huge! Get away from the little vendors and go to the Main street area. Prices are far below those in the States.
