Cheap cruise... you get what you pay for

Sail Date: October 13, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Room Type: Oceanview

Aging ship that shows age in many ways. Update in 2009 helped but not enough. I've been on nearly 20 cruises and I simply was disappointed.

Pros: Staff friendliness

Cons: Aging ship.

Recommends Carnival Sensation? Yes!

Entertainment
Casino was small and smelled of smoke. No movie theater.
Children's Programs
Children's program seemed adequate (it was free which was a plus!) The space was small and I could see our son quickly becoming board of it.
Ship Quality
Outdated ship with minor updates in 2009.
Food and Dining
Cabin / Stateroom
Small, but clean.
Service and Staff
We had great servers who went out of their way to entertain and engage with our 2.5 year old son.
Nassau, Bahamas
Atlantis was great, but expensive. Really the only thing to do. If you want to get the most of it.... shell out for a tour. The water park is overpriced but you got a good deal on the cruise so shell out.
