4 Night Bahamas (Port Canaveral Roundtrip)
Sail Date: August 07, 2011
Ship: Carnival Sensation
Cabin Type: Inside
Traveled As: Singles/Friends
Reviewed: 6 years ago
The main decor was very 80s and cheesy, but what can you do. The staff was friendly, attentive but not annoying, and the ship was surprisingly clean. We were told the ship was totally booked, but were surprised that there were plenty of quiet areas. The pool is quite small and shallow, but our weather wasn't too hot so it wasn't a problem while laying out.

Food and Dining

Excellent chicken whenever it was used. Good variety of food and the buffets were very nice.

Entertainment

We saw one comedian and he was okay. We also watched the production of "Curves" which should have had a disclaimer for children in the audience (unless parents are okay with several women parading around in thongs). It was okay, but kind of raunchy.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was very friendly, attentive, and quick! Our rooms were always cleaned after breakfast and turned down after dinner!

Ship Quality

Most public bathrooms seemed to be updated, and felt like ones at a restaurant. Surprisingly clean!

Cabin / Stateroom

Fitting 5 20-somethings in a room was the our only worry. However, our room was awesome. It was snug, but the beds are VERY comfortable. The suitcases slide under the beds, so there was enough space. The air conditioning is very loud and very cold, but we liked it that way. We all slept really well!

Freeport was a little rundown and felt chaotic when we walked off. We took a van to a beach and it was busy, but nice to be at the ocean. The service at the restaurant there was terrible. I would never give them my business again.

It was nice to walk and not HAVE to take a cab somewhere to do something. Walking off, we were able to shop and eat at the Hard Rock Cafe and Senor Frogs. It was fun, but a little sketchy at night.

Pros: Lots of places to relax
